Proposed constitution

Our LGBTIQA+-specific direction

Sparkly Aliens Inc. has prepared revised constitution and rules focused on LGBTIQA+ community wellbeing, social inclusion, education, rights and participation. The proposed clauses include LGBTIQA+ community-led governance, member accountability, financial approvals, conflicts of interest, complaints processes and distribution of surplus assets to suitable charitable recipients on winding up.

These are proposed rules, not operative rules. A special resolution by eligible members and registration with Queensland's Office of Fair Trading are required before amended rules take legal effect. The existence of a proposed constitution is not proof of ACNC charity registration or that governance arrangements have already changed.

Accountability and sensitive records

Internal membership records, confidential identity declarations, meeting minutes, financial registers, bank authorities and draft internal policies are not placed on this public website. Access to records is managed according to applicable law, privacy requirements and appropriate governance processes.

If you need information about our current legally registered rules, have an accessibility request, or want to raise a concern, contact taija@sparklyaliens.com.
